So Hollaback came to teh dusty third world ditches little over a month ago but I caught up about it now only as I am the phust number one epic third world epicphail. But that’s not new. 

Anyway, so the Govt wanted to act all supportive and shit so they re-released this above video only to assure that they know dusty ladies get harassed and get the touchingtouching without consent too. However, because I’m such a reverse-nationalist, I’m obviously not veryhappy with it. And here’s why: 

• Phust off, the lady is all nicely dressed. She’s in what Nice Imperial Peepal lyke to call ‘Traditional Indian Garb’. Because women and notwomen dirtydirty ‘western’ wearing things lyke pants, skirts and t-shirts ‘deserve’ the harassment and assault. Obviously. 
• The ‘Old’ Dude has to ‘protect’ the lady who does leetal more than look nothappy. The ‘Young’ Dude is obviously the one at fault, because peeps who are not-so-old are ALL terrible! It is a true! We don’t herd cows and then we speak engliss! O the moral degradation!
• It is the ‘duty’ of the dude(s) to make sure the lady isn’t assaulted. She can’t and WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT! do a thing to fight back herself. She can pout and make faces though. That’s a okay.
• OOOH use the oldest excuse in the Indian Book! “Don’t you have mothers? Sisters? Friends who you want to do teh coitus with but they call you ‘brother’ so you can’t do anything?”. Because the ‘honour’ is more important than say, getting sexually harassed. 
• OH and boys and peepal who identify as boys don’t get harassed out here! NEVERRRRR. That only happens in those Vulgar Western Places, no?

One thing? Let’s not call it ‘eve-teasing’. Because it’s not. It’s sexual harassment as ANY TOUCH of ANY KIND that is non-consensual is harassment.

The moment we call it eve-teasing, the omnipresent Dude Le Patriarch is going to be happy. Now, we don’t want to do that, no?

My aunt was constantly harassed to the extent her classmates would ask her ~playfully~ “So where are your doodfriends today?” IT IS NOT EVE TEASING DEAR GOD.
